Renting around here is a nightmare!!! Why? Because property owner don’t want short term rentals, they want 2 years and up! They don’t allow pets! 4 bedroom houses turn out to be 3 bedroom houses with no dining rooms or in one case no lounge. Having the best part of 6 weeks looking for somewhere to live the decision was made to get a couple of pods (cabins) built in the gardens. A large one for Rach and myself with cooking and living areas, and a smaller one for the kids.
Here you can see the build of the pods taking place from ground screws to completion.
They have turned out to work really well – there has been no real need to change our old routines, and we are warm dry and comfortable whilst the house gets rebuilt.
