A couple of days after the fire the insurers arranged for the house to be completely surrounded by scaffolding, and a temporary roof put on. This has saved the property from a whole load of secondary damage what with the awful weather we have had over the last couple of months. A large number of skips have been filled and emptied, numerous meetings with surveyors and builders have taken place.
Design decisions have been made, the stair case will be relocated – the new kitchen has been chosen, the utility room design is progressing. We need to start looking at bathrooms. At moment it feels like the work is our oyster as far as this goes as all the internal non structural walls have come down.
Again – here are a few pictures.
